It was a mere 4 years ago, February 25th, that God blessed us with a premature, yet perfectly healthy, 4lb 13 oz little angel: Morgan Annabelle Ryann Yancey. As the days turned to weeks and weeks to years, right before our eyes arose a truly amazing little lady. Morgan’s personality is captivating, to say the least. She’s generous, loving, super intelligent, astute, precocious, well mannered and strikingly beautiful…she has it all; and only at the young age of 4. She’s wise beyond her years and captures the hearts of everyone with which she comes in contact. Morgan’s Halloween costume this year was a Super Hero…little does she know that she is my Super Hero every day! The courage, strength and Faith in the Lord that this little person shows are beyond remarkable.
This is where our journey to being Cancer free begins. Chemo, Radiation, Blood/Platelet Transplants, Bone Marrow Transplants and possibly multiple surgeries will be necessary. Morgan’s Oncologist described the next year + as being like a marathon. Morgan’s Neuroblastoma is considered High Risk, Stage IV. The locations and size of the tumor increases the risks of surgery to remove the tumor in its entirety; in certain areas in which it’s located the risks outweigh the benefit. This is why she could require several surgeries to remove as much of the tumor as possible over the course of several grueling months. Our journey will be a long and painful fight against such a vicious Cancer. Due to the severity of the disease and constant needs for Morgan’s care, I have had to resign from what I thought was my dream job; only to be hired at the best job I could possibly have. I am now Morgan’s 24-7 care giver. This job, in addition to being a mommy to 3 other amazing babies is certainly the most gratifying position I’ve ever had. Please help us in raising funds for these current and future expenses. Any additional funds not used toward Morgan’s medical care and support will be kept in a Foundation being formed by James and I to help families just like us, who are tragically affected by such devastating news. Our families are so very appreciative for any donations and ask that we be kept in your prayers.
